Are Centaur sensors compatible with any external software or apps?

How do I determine the amount of sensors I need for my silos, storage, or transportation infrastructure?

This depends on your actual scenario storage asset and product parameters. Please contact our team with your specific information and we will be happy to assist you with tailored plans.

In general, precision fumigations in well-sealed containers or chambers require about 1 sensor per 10 metric tons of product. For silo fumigations and grain monitoring processes we recommend about one sensor per 15,000 – 20,000 bushels, or 400 – 500 metric tons. Far beyond the physical measuring sensors, Centaur’s advanced data analytics software can complement sensor readings and give you highly accurate estimates for your entire storage volume.

How long do the sensors and software needs to be actively monitoring before I have a ‘baseline’ environment?

Accepted Answer

Grain quality sensors require at least 24 hours of readings to start producing analytics and estimations about the whole volume of stored grain. Grain-specific metrics, such as Moisture Content and Product temperature are only produced for the sensors which are detected by the system as "in-grain". The rest of the sensors keep reporting ambient conditions.​Fumigation sensors provide instantaneous response, but may still take 2-3 hours to accurately settle to a high concentration reading.

Do I need special technical skills to operate Centaur sensors and platform?

Accepted Answer

Both the hardware and the software of Centaur Analytics is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. Anyone with basic computer skills, such as internet browsing, should be able to set things up and start using the sensors and software.

Access to fumigated areas and operation of fumigation sensors in them should be carried out by licensed operators, and attention to standard safety precautions is always required.

Do you offer monthly subscription plans or trials?

Question 7

We store/process/transport multiple crops such as grains and nuts. Do we need different sensors for each crop?

Accepted Answer

The underlying technology is essentially the same as far as the hardware is concerned. Centaur offers crop-specific analytics that evaluate and analyze the data in a different way to produce estimations that are valid for each commodity. How can i change my password?

Click on the person symbol at the top right corner of the page and select Profile in order to redirect you to the page as you are seeing below:

Here you go in the Password Section and type in your current password and underneath that your new with its confirmation. At the end you just click on the CHANGE button and your password has just changed.

* BE CAREFUL to type in the same password in the New Password and Confirm Password cause differently your password will not change.** You can also change some of your profile’s personal information in the Personal Information Section at the left side of the page and click on the UPDATE button.
